The Direct Shift-8AT 8-speed automatic transmission has been further developed to pair with the 2.4-litre turbo engine and 2.5-litre petrol engine - both available in the NX lineup. The result? Excellent fuel economy and power. Adaptive control intuitively uses the vehicle speed and how the driver tends to use the accelerator, to select the optimum gear for acceleration and driving. The lightweight and compact design provides the driver with the nimble and stable handling that is in the Lexus DNA.

The complete redesign of the NX allowed the redevelopment of the aerodynamics. With a focus on vehicle stability, there is an array of aerodynamically optimised features to enhance performance. Through the comprehensive regulation of airflow across, around, over, through and under the entire vehicle, an even more stable handling experience has been developed. The front bumper, rear bumper, a flush belt molding, and a dimpled undercover all contribute to excellent handling and fuel economy.

Drive Mode Select provides integrated control of multiple systems, offering enhanced driving pleasure by allowing the driver to select drive modes to suit the situation and their preferred driving style. Select from Normal, Eco and Sport on the NX 250 Luxury and Sports Luxury grades. Additionally — Normal, Eco, Sport, Sport S+ and Custom modes are available on all F Sport grades.

Drive mode select provides integrated control of multiple systems, including the engine and CVT, to suit your driving style. Select between Eco for fuel efficient driving, Normal for balanced driving performance and fuel-efficiency, and Sport for sporty driving with a thrilling acceleration response. The F Sport grades come with a total of five drive modes, including Sport S+ for highly responsive and sporty driving, with enhanced handling and stability when cornering.
