LEXUS LX PERFORMANCE

LEXUS LX PERFORMANCE

ANYWHERE, ANYTIME

Whether you're towing12, off-roading or winding your way around twisting tarmac roads, the LX 570 combines a 5.7 litre V8 engine with Artificial Intelligence shift control, plus traction and posture technologies to help keep you on your intended path.

A 5.7 LITRE V8 FOR POWER WHEN YOU NEED IT

A 5.7 LITRE V8 FOR POWER WHEN YOU NEED IT

The LX 570's tailor-made Quad Cam V8 develops a commanding 270kW of power at 5,600rpm and 530Nm of torque at 3,200rpm for towing15 and hill climbing.

As your engine speed changes, the timing of the inlet and exhaust valves is continually being re-tuned through the Dual VVT-i system for greater torque down low, and more power at higher engine speeds.

And with a Dual Fuel Tank system totalling 138 litres, you'll be able to get from A to B to Z with ease.

ROAD CONDITION RESPONSE CONTROL

ROAD CONDITION RESPONSE CONTROL

The LX 570's electronically controlled eight-speed sequential automatic transmission was developed to efficiently manage the vehicle's vast reserves of power.

Artificial Intelligence Shift Control minimises unnecessary upshifts when climbing hills or on winding roads.

For greater control on steep descents, the transmission automatically downshifts to increase the engine braking, or you can take control via the Sequential function with Paddle Shifters.

TACKLE DIFFERENT TERRAINS WITH CONFIDENCE

TACKLE DIFFERENT TERRAINS WITH CONFIDENCE

Multi Terrain Select (MTS) is designed to give the LX 570 superior ground covering performance across different driving conditions.

Select from the five road condition modes of Rock, Rock & Dirt, Mogul, Loose Rock and Mud & Sand.

The system optimally controls wheel slip and grip providing ideal grip levels for the pre-set terrain.

At the same time the Multi Terrain Monitor (MTM)18 can display images at low speeds from around the vehicle onto the 12.3" Multimedia screen via 4 cameras mounted front, rear and side.

This helps you determine the correct path to take by providing vision into areas not easily seen from your seat13. By recording images from the front camera, it is even possible to view conditions under the vehicle.

A Tyre Pressure Warning System (TPWS) can also notify you of a drop in air pressure in any of the five tyres, including the spare tyre, so that you are always prepared no matter the terrain.

MAINTAIN VEHICLE POSTURE AND CONTROL

MAINTAIN VEHICLE POSTURE AND CONTROL

The LX 570 has a comprehensive suspension system for both on and off-road driving.

Double Wishbone front and Multi-link rear suspension is supported by both adaptive variable-rate dampers and variable ride height control, plus anti-dive and anti-squat control help maintain vehicle posture under braking and acceleration.

It also features roll-posture control to improve stability and control during cornering, as well as vehicle-speed sensitive control of the dampers, which helps increase comfort at low speeds and improve manoeuvrability at high speeds.

DRIVE MODE SELECT

DRIVE MODE SELECT

The LX 570 features Lexus Drive Mode Select.

With six different drive modes available, including a driver-customisable selection, you can select the drive mode that best suits the current conditions or your mood, from ECO or COMFORT, through to multiple sports modes.

SUSPENSION, HEIGHT AND STEERING TO SUIT ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS

SUSPENSION, HEIGHT AND STEERING TO SUIT ALL DRIVING SITUATIONS

Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) intelligently senses the terrain and tailors the shock absorber settings for a smoother, more responsive ride.

You can also control the AVS calibration via the Drive Mode Select dial with settings designed for Comfort or Sports performance.

Active Height Control (AHC) automatically adjusts the ride height of all four wheels, to suit the current environment, rising for greater ground clearance over rocky terrain when in Low Range and automatically lowering the vehicle when the ignition is turned off for ease of egress and ingress.

It also features roll-posture control to improve stability and control during cornering, as well as vehicle-speed sensitive control of the dampers, which helps increase comfort at low speeds and improve manoeuvrability at high speeds.

TORSEN LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL

TORSEN LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL

With all four wheels driving at all times, it's important to ensure the correct amount of drive force is applied to each wheel. The centre TORSENTM Limited Slip Differential adjusts the driving effort between the front and rear wheels to maximise traction depending on your driving situation.

During extreme off-roading the centre differential can be locked to split drive power equally front to rear.

If any wheel starts to spin due to muddy or slippery conditions, Active Traction Control can apply braking force independently to each wheel, performing a similar function to a limited slip differential, allowing the other wheels with more grip to drive you forward.

AVOID ROLL-BACK WITH HILL-START ASSIST CONTROL

AVOID ROLL-BACK WITH HILL-START ASSIST CONTROL

When taking off on steep inclines, many vehicles can drift backwards between the time you take your foot off the brake and apply it onto the accelerator pedal.

Hill-start Assist Control (HAC)9 momentarily applies the brakes to help keep the vehicle from slipping backwards as your foot moves to the accelerator.
