LEXUS GS F PERFORMANCE

LEXUS GS F PERFORMANCE

HIGH PERFORMANCE V8

HIGH PERFORMANCE V8

With a 5.0L V8 engine delivering an adrenaline-charged 351kW at 7,100rpm and 530Nm of torque at 4,800 to 5,600 rpm, the GS F offers a powerful and highly responsive drive.

The bottom line for you is a performance vehicle that will get your heart racing every time you get behind the wheel.

A DIFFERENT MODE FOR EVERY MOOD

A DIFFERENT MODE FOR EVERY MOOD

The GS F is fitted with Drive Mode Select featuring five modes.

Select ECO and engine output, throttle opening and air conditioning are automatically controlled to prioritise fuel-efficient driving.
NORMAL mode delivers a balanced response suitable for suburban and freeway driving with a true sense of acceleration and smoothness.
CUSTOMISE mode allows you to combine various elements of each drive mode to create one all your own.
Then, as the name suggests, SPORT drive mode offers enhanced engine, transmission and steering response, while SPORT+ goes further to enhance handling.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

The GS F's 8-Speed Sports Direct Shift (SPDS) transmission shows two faces.

One is a silky smooth automatic and the other a sportier ride courtesy of its 8-speed manual mode.

When in automatic mode plus SPORT or SPORT+ drive mode, gear shifting is influenced by a G sensor, detecting the motion of the car during braking, accelerating and cornering to judge when to hold a gear and when to shift.

Then in manual mode, gear shifts can occur in as little as 0.4 of a second and are often accompanied by rev-matched throttle blipping.

In either mode, the key aim of the transmission is to provide impressive acceleration and driver engagement for an undeniably breathtaking driving experience.

ACCELERATION SOUND CONTROL

ACCELERATION SOUND CONTROL

A key characteristic of every Lexus F model is the sound experienced during spirited driving.

This sound must envelop and energise you from the engine at the front, to the exhaust at the rear.

Supporting the guttural growl of the five litre V8, Lexus has developed Acceleration Sound Control (ASC) to further enrich the aural experience within the vehicle, distributing additional engine and exhaust sound via the front and rear speakers, connecting driver and car like never before.

You'll never drive through a tunnel with the windows up again...

PERFORMANCE BREMBO BRAKE PACKAGE

PERFORMANCE BREMBO BRAKE PACKAGE

The seamless performance of the GS F is backed by highly responsive 6-piston front and 4-piston rear Brembo brake package including slotted rotors, which offer superior control and confidence in all driving conditions, from the streets to the track.

INTEGRATED VEHICLE CONTROL

INTEGRATED VEHICLE CONTROL

Another highly intelligent piece of technology found in the GS F is Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management system (VDIM).

VDIM integrates various electronic safety systems like Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) with vertical G sensor, Traction Control (TRC), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) as well as Electric Power Steering (EPS), Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and other systems.
In integrating these systems together, VDIM allows them to share information in real-time so they can work together to monitor vehicle behaviour and, if required, modify it.
While VDIM is found on many Lexus models, Lexus F models receive exclusive attributes through VDIM Sport and VDIM Expert modes that reflect learnings from Lexus' racing experience. VDIM Sport mode is enabled when you select SPORT+ drive mode, enhancing handling and allowing you to go closer to the performance limit.
When activated on a racetrack*, VDIM Expert* goes further to provide proactive slide control, allowing a driver to hone their skills on the track while still avoiding full spins.
*VDIM Expert Mode should only be activated by professional drivers on closed tracks.

ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION

ADAPTIVE SUSPENSION

The already superior performance and handling credentials of the GS F are strengthened with the inclusion of Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS).

When driving on rough road surfaces, AVS helps maintain a comfortable ride by softening shock absorber response, while during cornering it helps maintain handling stability through a flatter ride by firming suspension response.

In SPORT+ mode AVS offers a firmer level of control for dynamic handling performance and an adrenaline-charged driving experience.

Torque Vectoring Differential

TORQUE VECTORING DIFFERENTIAL

TORQUE VECTORING DIFFERENTIAL

A Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) is fitted as standard to the rear of each GS F, which offers a greater level of control by optimally splitting torque to each side during cornering, based on a range of vehicle conditions.

Three TVD modes can be selected using the switch located on the centre console. Standard mode delivers a high level of both agility and stability, while Slalom mode places emphasis on steering response for agility that you would expect from a smaller vehicle.
Track mode, meanwhile, offers stability during high-speed circuit driving with tuning that enables you to accelerate with confidence.
Together with the various drive modes, the TVD offers you an even greater level of personalisation for your driving experience.
